Finding Gorgeous Glass For My House

When I started renovating my house, I was really amazed with how many different areas needed brand new glass. It was really interesting to realize that several different portions of the house needed to be completely overhauled, and before I knew it, I was talking with glass vendors about how they could help. They walked through the space, talked with me about different options, and then recommended that I head in to see the examples in the warehouse. The samples were absolutely gorgeous, and I knew right away that I needed to invest in some decorative glass. Check out this website for more information on glass products, vendors, and choosing the right options for your home.

3 Ways To Make Large Walls Look Fuller In A House

One of the perks of living in a big house is that they usually come with plenty of wall space for decorating. However, coming up with ideas to decorate large walls can be challenging. Poor decorating skills can lead to you placing too many things on the walls, or coming up with a design that doesn't match the theme you are going for. The best way to decorate a large wall is to keep it simple, or to hire an interior designer to assist. In this article, you will find several ideas that might be useful for decorating the large walls in your house.

1. Get a Large Mirror Customized

A great way to take up space on a large wall is to put a mirror, such as from Glasshopper Schor Glass, on it. You should ensure that the mirror is large enough to standout on the wall, which can be achieved by getting one customized. By getting your mirror customized, you will be able to choose a frame for it that complements the other decor in the room that it is placed in. Keep in mind that a customized large mirror large must be carefully handled because it can be heavy when constructed with quality materials. There are mirror companies that will not only be able to create a custom one, but can also come to your house to hang it on the wall.

2. Use Colored Paint on the Walls

If you don't want to limit the amount of art and mirrors that are used, consider putting colored paint on the walls. If your walls are currently white, it can cause them to look more spacious and seem like they are larger than they actually are. Applying a dark shade of paint can make a difference before any art is hung up. You don't have to be extreme with choosing a dark color to make a difference. Choosing a neutral color such as medium tan is a great way to make the walls look more appealing without the need for a lot of art.

3. Strategically Place Plants by the Walls

Another method for taking up space on large walls is to strategically place plants near them. For example, consider going to a home and garden center to purchase large trees to place by the walls. Large trees will actually look great if they are placed near mirrors. The reason why you should choose large trees is because they will go high up the walls and eliminate the need for hanging art in those areas. Purchase artificial plants if you don't want to worry about keeping them watered.
